Understanding dog behavior is crucial for effective training. Dogs communicate with body language, vocalizations, and behavior. By observing these cues, you can connect better with your pet. Had a good experience with Ayden who advised us on a range of matters from peeing to harness handling and barking. As an adopted ex breeding dog she is taking a while to settle down, and the advice has been helpful. Doreen Tan23 June 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ayden is a friendly and patience pet trainer. He is very professional while training of Sugar. Before commencing of each session of training, he will find out what are the challenges we are facing with Sugar or resolving our doubts on Sugar's behaviors. Sugar is our lovely female puppy (video). She is a Cavapoo Chon and 9mths old *Before Training* 1) Sugar is extremely playful, living in her own world. 2) She dun listen to what we told her. She will rush to "escape" from the door when the main door is opened. 3) She is very timid and starts barking at my neighbours, images from the TV, huge objects, etc...... *After Training* 1) She follows commands even unleashed outdoors (see video) 2) Even our main or room door is opened, she will stay still and wait for us to say: "Sugar GO" 3) While waiting to cross the road, she will sit still to wait for GREEN MAN to appear. *My personal opinion* Before a pawrent can train to achieve an obedient pet, a professional trainer (like Ayden) is required to train pawrents (like us) CORRECTLY!!!!!! Lastly, pawrent must do their homeworks with great efforts and I believe we will see GREAT RESULTS!!! Emily Loh28 April 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chanced upon Woof Academy as I was at a loss of what to do with my little puppy’s separation anxiety issues. While I have read a lot on the web on how to deal with puppies separation anxiety issues, I couldn’t figure what works for bambam. I eventually decided to just engage Ayden to see what new ideas he has to offer. Given that there’s no one method that fits all puppies, Ayden trialed and error different ways (aside from the textbook methods) during our session to figure out what works for bambam and we eventually settled on one which worked out perfectly. Bambam is now able to stay at home alone for long periods of time and able to pee and poop at the right place (tho there are some accidents here and there, which is pretty normal). Aside from issues with separation anxiety, Ayden also proactively offered his advice on other commonly faced puppy issues and trainings puppies require from young. While it has only been one session, Ayden has been very helpful in helping me better understand what my puppy needs. Definitely a strong recommend for anyone who needs help better understanding their puppy! siva Guru23 April 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After a trial session with Ayden we have already seen improvement with our 4 month old pup and decided to proceed with the L1 training program with him. Our pup has already learnt a lot from his first session and we look forward for the next classes. Ayden is very professional and extremely knowledgeable with his work. Would definitely recommend him! Lincoln Chu Mesina27 March 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ayden (the trainer) is clear in his instructions, and very patiently guides us to better command and engage our pup. He provides astute analysis of our pup's behavior in relation to our home environment, and provided targeted suggestions to rectify certain behaviors of our pup. We are appreciative of Ayden's help and guidance, and are satisfied with the progresses and improvements made for our pup. We're looking forward to future lessons and would recommend for first-time pet owners to engage Ayden for his help as well! jy ng16 January 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Came across Woof Academy through social media and contacted them immediately after reading all the five stars reviews on google. And I have to say that they did not disappoint! Ayden came prepared and was able to point out the things that causes certain behavioral issues by observing how we interact with our dog. The follow-up actions suggested by him have proven to be useful, as it’s been almost 2 weeks after the trial session and we can see a huge improvement! Ayden is also very helpful by telling us that we can drop him messages whenever we have questions and does not push us to sign on packages. We are glad to have come across Woof Academy and would definitely consider them to carry out more lessons with our dog in the future. Alicia Ong15 January 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Today, I sent my puppy, Juno, for a trial training session with Trainer Ayden, and the experience was nothing short of impressive. Ayden conducted a 90-minute session that left me thoroughly satisfied with the progress made. From the start, Ayden demonstrated a deep understanding of canine behavior and psychology. He began by assessing Juno's temperament and tailoring his approach accordingly. His calm and assertive demeanor immediately put Juno at ease, creating a positive environment for learning. Throughout the session, Ayden employed a variety of training techniques, striking a balance between positive reinforcement and gentle correction. His communication skills were excellent, explaining each step clearly and providing me with valuable insights into Juno's thought process and behavior. What stood out the most was Ayden's adaptability. He adjusted the training methods based on Juno's responses, ensuring that the session remained engaging and effective. It was evident that he genuinely cared about Juno's well-being and was committed to fostering a strong bond between us. By the end of the 90 minutes, Juno had a grasp of some basic commands and displayed improved obedience. Ayden left us with a personalized training plan, emphasizing consistency and positive reinforcement in our daily interactions. In conclusion, Ayden's expertise, patience, and tailored approach made for a highly successful first training session with Juno. I look forward to implementing the techniques he shared and witnessing further progress in Juno's behavior. I highly recommend Ayden to anyone seeking a skilled and compassionate pet trainer. Danny Myk15 January 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a trial session with Ayden for our 8 month old puppy. Took some trial and error to figure the right approach to dealing with some of her behavioral issues but he was very patient and adaptable. Was also great in explaining the causes and motivations for her actions and behaviors. He definitely showed that he takes a practical approach to dog/puppy training and is not limited to a single method to deal with issues. I ended the session with more confidence on the right approach to training my puppy. Highly recommend to approach him to help you better learn and understand how to train your dog/puppy. nala12 January 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ayden was really patient and knowledgeable about our 8yo toy poodle, Cookie. Taught my grandmother about mixed signals and better behaviour adjustments for Cookie, really recommend Woof Academy for dog training :) Ee Muan Leck9 January 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Play is vital in a dog's training journey. It's not just about fun; it's a natural process and powerful tool for learning and bonding.
Through play, dogs engage their minds, develop social skills, and practice obedience in a joyful and rewarding way. It fosters a positive relationship between you and your furry companion, making training sessions more effective and enjoyable for both of you.
Allowing a dog to be free and roam during training encourages natural exploration and instills confidence. It fosters independence, enriches their environment, and strengthens their bond with you as their trusted guide. This freedom promotes mental stimulation and helps prevent behavioral issues by satisfying their innate curiosity and need for physical activity.
Love and affection are the heartbeats of a dog's training. They create a strong emotional connection between you and your furry friend, fostering trust, loyalty, and cooperation. When dogs feel loved and appreciated, they are more motivated to learn and follow commands. Affectionate interactions serve as powerful rewards during training, reinforcing desired behaviors and strengthening the bond between you, making the training experience enjoyable and rewarding for both of you.
Rest is essential for training dogs, allowing them to recharge mentally and physically. It helps consolidate learning, reduces stress, and ensures they're ready for the next session. During rest periods, their muscles relax, and their brains organize and store the training experiences, enhancing memory and retention. So, give your pup plenty of downtime to snooze and rejuvenate—they'll thank you with improved focus and performance in their training endeavors.
